Local housebuilder Baker Estates continues to support South Molton Primary School by donating £200 towards a new school shelter.
The school is raising vital funds in order to build a permanent structure over a school seating area and fire pit in the forest which will be used across all year groups. Currently a temporary cover is being used but must be replaced several times a year due to damage.
Mr T Parkin, Headteacher of South Molton Primary School, said: “Outdoor learning has huge benefits for children and plays a very important part of our school curriculum. This project will enable further opportunities for outdoor learning and will give the school a fantastic resource. Thank you to Baker Estates for their contribution to our project."
Ian Baker, Managing Director of Baker Estates, has said: “We are thrilled to support the school in their process to fund a new shelter and will continue to support the community in any way we can.”
Earlier this year, Baker Estates invited South Molton Primary School to Bee Meadow to educate the children in construction and housebuilding. The development has recently released Phase II which includes a selection of 2 and 3 bedroom bungalows and houses.
