Christian and Linda Pegley bought a three-bedroom bungalow including a double garage at the new Little Cotton Farm development built by award winning south-west housebuilder Baker Estates.
The couple moved from their house of 40 years in the Teign Valley when Christian’s health and a two-acre garden started to impact daily life.
Christian, 74, explained the move to Dartmouth. He said: “We were looking for a good-sized bungalow and there wasn’t much coming up on our search that suited our requirements. We heard about Baker Estates and enquired about the bungalows at Little Cotton Farm. We looked at a Primrose and reserved off-plan. We’ve added a big veranda and the home now has a Mediterranean feel to it.
“We both like Dartmouth and enjoy watching the river traffic go by, as well as the many pubs, restaurants and coffee shops. We are now looking forward to enjoying a full summer here.”
Linda, 73, added: “The bungalow suits our needs, and the living space is very well designed. The Baker Estates team were remarkably good.”
