As part of its 10th anniversary celebrations, Devon-based housebuilder Baker Estates proudly took on The Big Tackle, Rowcroft Hospice’s flagship fundraising event of the year.
Held on Saturday 15 March in Torquay, The Big Tackle was an eight-mile sponsored walk filled with camaraderie, community spirit, and well-earned rewards at the finish line—including a free pint, a pasty, and a live screening of the Six Nations Rugby match between England and Wales.
The event welcomed participants walking for fun or in memory of a loved one, all while raising vital funds for Rowcroft Hospice. The hospice provides compassionate care and support for patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses across South Devon.
Baker Estates’ team members embraced the challenge, with several also volunteering on the day to ensure the event ran smoothly.
