Baker Estates has been granted permission by South Hams District Council to build 52 new homes on land off West Alvington Hill in Kingsbridge.
The award winning south west housebuilder has consent to build a mix of 2,3,4 bedroom homes on the site.
Founded by Ian Baker in 2015, in little under five years the company has achieved permission to build over 1,000 homes in Devon and Cornwall.
Graham Hutton, Development Director, Baker Estates, said: “We are delighted to finally be granted planning permission for our K5 scheme to build much needed new homes in Kingsbridge.
“It’s a great result as it permits a mix of homes that will satisfy the needs of local people and secures a great deal of investment in the town.
“Our development will support around 80 new jobs from a number of different trades which will all be employed by local firms.
“In addition, with research proving that on average, new homeowners spend in excess of £5,000 with local businesses in the first year of occupation, it’s a further boost to the local economy when it will be needed most.”
