Baker Estates, in conjunction with The Dartington Trust, has secured outline planning permission from South Hams District Council for two housing schemes in Dartington.
The residential developments, in the adopted Joint Local Plan, would see 80 new homes delivered at Broom Park and a further 40 at Sawmills.
After a comprehensive on-line public consultation programme in the summer, the council voted to approve the award winning south west housebuilder’s outline plans. (Wednesday 28 April).
Reflecting the identified local need, Baker Estates will now work up a reserved matters proposal for both schemes during which the company will further consult with all stakeholders.
On behalf of The Dartington Trust and Baker Estates, Graham Hutton, Development Director at Baker Estates, said: “We are delighted to receive outline planning consent from South Hams District Council. This is an important step forward for much needed new homes in Dartington and we look forward to starting the consultation process in the coming months to inform our reserved matters proposals.”
