South West-based housebuilder Baker Estates is celebrating its 10th anniversary with year-long community initiatives and a goal to raise well over £10,000 for the Rowcroft charity.
To mark this major milestone, Baker Estates has planned a series of exciting events and fundraising initiatives throughout 2025. The festivities will engage residents, local businesses, and community organisations, reflecting the company’s commitment to creating more than just homes—but building thriving communities.
Founded by Managing Director Ian Baker in 2015, the company has grown rapidly and now employs more than 75 staff from his Newton Abbot headquarters.
The company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality homes across the region while fostering strong connections within the local communities it serves.
With over a 1,000 units in the planning pipeline, Baker Estates, to date, has sold over 800 homes throughout the South West. The company is currently selling on nine developments and has another eight in construction and planning.
Baker Estates has successfully re-invented the popular bungalow for a growing group of older buyers who want future proof, flexible living. The company’s hybrid ‘barngalow’ is an example of its desire to innovate and push the boundaries of design in new homes.
The company has won a number of regional and national awards including the ‘Best Development’ at the prestigious Housebuilder Awards for its Great Court Farm scheme in Totnes and The View in Malborough, near Salcombe.
Ian Baker, Managing Director of Baker Estates, shared his thoughts on the milestone:
"Reaching our 10th anniversary is a significant achievement for everyone at Baker Estates. Over the past decade, we have grown into a trusted housebuilder, known for our dedication to quality and the South West communities we serve.
“This year-long initiative is not just about reflecting on our journey but also about giving back to the people who have supported us along the way and looking forward to the future.”
Ian added that the company was founded “with a vision to deliver quality homes”, which has led to multiple awards for its commitment to craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
The anniversary activities include a charity Golf Day which is expected to draw over a hundred participants, a Bake Off, support of a local school, a Team 5k run, sponsorship of a number of regional shows, and an organised walk across Dartmoor - all to raise money for charity and supporting local schools are also planned.
Further details about the events will be announced in the coming weeks as the company continues to collaborate with local communities to ensure the celebrations leave a lasting positive impact.
