Baker Estates has shown its continued support of local events and businesses in the southwest by sponsoring the Totnes & District Show again this year.
The Totnes Show, a well-loved annual event to be held on Sunday 30 July, celebrates the rich heritage, culture and community spirit of Totnes and its surrounding areas.
The show features tractor pulling, a family fun area, classic cars, lamb sheering, a music stage, and a range of horse trials as well as a food and drink village.
The award-winning local housebuilder will be the proud sponsor of the Food and Drink Village, a new addition last year, showcasing exceptional local producers.
Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a delightful culinary experience, as they explore the diverse range of local produce and meet the passionate producers behind them.
Baker Estates recognises the importance of supporting and promoting local businesses, and the Totnes Show provides the perfect platform to do so. By sponsoring the Food and Drink Village, the company aims to highlight the variety of high-quality, locally sourced ingredients that Devon has to offer, fostering a deeper appreciation for the region’s gastronomic treasures.
One of the highlights of the Food and Drink Village will be the demonstration kitchen, where talented chefs renowned for their passion for local ingredients and recipes will showcase their culinary skills throughout the day. From mouth-watering dishes to expert cooking tips, visitors can expect a truly immersive experience that celebrates the flavours of Devon.
Ian Baker, Managing Director at Baker Estates, expressed his enthusiasm for the continued partnership with the Totnes Show. Ian said: “We are thrilled to support the Food and Drink Village for the second year running.
“Devon is home to an incredible array of talented producers and we are proud to shine a spotlight on their exceptional offerings. By showcasing the region’s culinary delights, we hope to inspire a greater appreciation for our local food culture and encourage sustainable, community-focused initiatives.”
Linda Harvey, Totnes Show Manager, said: “We are delighted to welcome back our friends at Baker Estates, as sponsors of the Food and Drink Village. It’s great to have the company’s support in one of the most popular and busiest areas of the show.
