Baker Estates has announced its platinum sponsorship of this summer’s Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta.
It will be the fourth year in a row that the South West housebuilder has sponsored the well-loved event, located just minutes from its flagship development Little Cotton Farm.
The Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta is funded entirely on donations and sponsorship through local businesses and takes place this year from Wednesday 23rd August to Saturday 26th August.
The volunteers and organisers will be working closely with Dartmouth Town Council to put on the 178th Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, hoping to welcome many locals and tourists to the event.
Ed Botterhill, Chairman of the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta said: “Dartmouth is a stunning town in South Devon and a magnificent backdrop to the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. The event, one of the oldest in the country, is free to attend and the committee rely entirely on the amazing sponsors and generous public donations. Baker Estates has once again contributed to our Royal Regatta as a major sponsor. Its contribution will be an enormous factor as we need to raise £180,000 to stage our event.
“The Regatta committee are all volunteers and work tirelessly to bring a regatta that Dartmouth locals, visitors and guests will be proud of every year.
“Not only has the company given generous financial support but have helped in many other ways such as promotion and publicity, but also have a team competing in the rowing events! We are extremely grateful for the continued support of Baker Estates.”
Managing Director of Baker Estates, Ian Baker, commented: “As a local housebuilder, we are delighted to once again sponsor this historic event which is such a special date for so many people in Dartmouth. As a team, we are very much looking forward to taking part in this year’s Whaler Race as well as having the opportunity to talk to locals and Dartmouth’s visitors about our exceptional new homes at Little Cotton Farm.”
Baker Estates will be showcasing its flagship development, Little Cotton Farm, at the Regatta. Baker Estates are looking forward to hosting a range of family activities including a virtual reality competition to win a family membership to The National Trust and a children’s colouring competition to design their dream home for a chance to win a £30 Browsers book voucher.
