East-The-Water

On the east bank of the Torridge Estuary and just 5 miles upstream from the open sea, lies East-the-Water, Bideford’s eastern half.

The historic market town of Bideford is just a few miles away. The town is packed with independent shops, local produce, and a great riverside quay. It is also home to the historic Pannier Market, where you can wander through the traffic-free lanes and browse the expansive range of quirky outlets, or simply grab a bite to eat at one of the many pavement café’s. Day-to-day amenities, such as supermarkets, banks and GP surgeries can also be found in the town.
